The Maddi Foundation

The Maddi Foundation is dedicated to raising awareness, supporting research, and developing gene therapies for rare neurodegenerative diseases such as SPG15. Established in 2016, it collaborates with scientists, clinicians, and research institutions across the UK, USA, and Europe. The foundation aims to raise £2,500,000 to fund research and clinical trials for gene therapy treatments, with the ultimate goal of halting disease progression and finding a cure. It also engages in public awareness campaigns, fundraising events, and patient registry initiatives to support affected individuals and advance scientific understanding of hereditary spastic paraplegias and related disorders.
